Hello, my name is Erika Ortiz,

I am a Public Accountant graduated from the Higher School of Commerce and Administration of Mexico City.  

​

I started working at 17 years old, I had to divide my time between School and Work, it was not easy, but I was sure that all my effort would pay off.  

​

Just like you, I came to this country with many dreams and also some fears. After a few months, I decided that it was time to continue preparing and I found in the Tax career, the best way to do it.  

​

I was fortunate to receive my first opportunity to practice professionally in a Real Estate / Tax office, where I was able to develop my potential for 10 years. Here I gained experience from the simplest to the most complicated cases, both for individuals and businesses.

​

In 2013, God joined my professional path to that of my friend and partner, Emma Ramírez, with whom I share the pleasure of serving and helping others. Together we turned our dream of forming a company and that year MCS TAX PROFESSIONALS was born, in the city of Hayward. Thanks to the trust of our clients and our commitment to this shared dream, to support our community, we grew and today we are located in San Leandro, with better spaces to serve our friends and clients.

Aware of the great challenges that people and businesses face, I prepared myself for a period of two years and took the 3 exams required by the IRS, and, in May 2018 I obtained my credential as a Registered Agent (Enrolled Agent), which allows me to represent taxpayers at the national level. With this, it has been possible to give more value to our services and benefit our clients.

I am currently a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents, and the Latino Tax Professionals Association.
